Fair Pricing & Market Data
Our Commitment to Fair Pricing
At Moon, every bet is priced using independent, institutional-grade market data. We do not create or manipulate asset prices. Instead, we aggregate pricing from multiple trusted market data providers to deliver fair, accurate, and resilient pricing across all supported markets.
Our pricing infrastructure is designed to provide:
Accurate market prices
High availability and redundancy
Consistent pricing during periods of market volatility
24/7 pricing across supported assets
How Moon Determines Prices
Moon combines pricing from multiple independent market data providers into a single aggregated price used across the platform.
Our primary market data providers include:
DXFeed : Institutional-grade real-time market data covering equities, futures, options, forex and more.
Pyth Network (Pyth Pro) : High-frequency pricing sourced directly from leading exchanges and market makers.
SEDA Protocol : Oracle infrastructure providing reliable pricing, including extended-hours calculations for assets that do not normally update around the clock.
Using multiple providers helps reduce reliance on any single source while improving pricing accuracy and system resilience.
Price Aggregation
Rather than relying on a single exchange or data provider, Moon aggregates pricing from multiple independent sources.
This approach helps:
Reduce the impact of individual provider outages
Improve pricing accuracy and removes price outliers
Maintain stable pricing during periods of high volatility
Provide consistent market coverage across asset classes
If one provider experiences degraded performance, our pricing engine can continue operating using other available sources.
24/7 Wagering
Unlike traditional financial markets, Moon allows users to wager on supported assets around the clock.
For assets such as US equities that normally move only during regular market hours, Moon continues to provide pricing outside traditional exchange sessions.
This allows users to:
Open new bets
Manage existing positions
Close positions
React to overnight news and global events
at any time of day.
Extended Hours Pricing
Certain assets, including many listed equities, stop updating on their primary exchange after regular market hours.
To support continuous wagering, Moon uses pricing calculated from independent market sources and oracle infrastructure.
For many equities, extended-hours pricing is derived using SEDA Protocol, which computes fair market prices using multiple data inputs, including highly liquid perpetual futures markets such as Hyperliquid where appropriate.
These prices are continuously updated until the underlying exchange reopens.
Market Events
Prices can move significantly outside regular exchange hours due to:
Earnings announcements
Economic data releases
Company news
Global macro events
Cryptocurrency market movements
Moon's pricing engine continuously reflects available market information so users can react immediately rather than waiting for traditional exchanges to reopen.
Price Integrity
Moon does not manually adjust asset prices to influence the outcome of bets.
Our pricing systems are designed to:
Source prices independently
Aggregate multiple providers
Monitor data quality
Automatically detect abnormal pricing
Continue operating during provider interruptions
This helps ensure pricing remains fair and consistent for all users.
